Hola! Summer's here and now's the perfect season to create and capture happy and memorable moments. On keeping the best moments of your life, free your mind from everything- stress and problems. Start from nothing and be open to everything and anything fun will be possible.
Ever wondered that someday our famous social networking sites will all turn down? What will just happen to our uploaded and "saved" pictures? Just like our former website, Multiply. Yup, we all knew that even our jejemon pics were there and were like "stolen" from us. So sad that our pretty captured moments got lost.
Since it's summer and many of us are looking for ways on how to make it unforgettable, more likely productive. I was ask to do one. I decided to make a scrapbook. Yup, a scrapbook to literally paste in the pictures and freely organize them. Design them whichever way I want, and to make it last forever. It may be nowadays out of the blue, but who says making our best moments with the best people last forever is out of the blue? Let's get this sharing started!
So, the basic empty scrapbook of All About Scrapbooking costs almost like 400php. To make a cheaper one, you can use two pieces of 1/8 illustration board(so the covers are going to be hard) and lots of construction papers. You can use papers with printed borders, old newspapers, which paper suits your mood or you can catch up with a mixture of any.
Punch first the illustration boards then the papers. Doing so can make a perfect alignment. Then use ring binders! I love them, they're cheap, has many purpose and so easy to use!
Of course, the main element, the pictures!
Then, you have to think of a theme. On my scrapbook, I don't particularly applied a theme. I just designed every page with something that pops out to my mind. If you're really in the mood to do it, your mind will be hyped to flash out creativity through imagination! These are some of the pages I did. Pretty simple but it still looks personalized, right?
For this page, I only used a very cheap watercolor. I wet the brush too much then pick random colors then I sprinkle it by shaking my hands while holding the other tip of the brush in different areas. I really love the look of this one.
And here's how it is. Ta daa! My first project for the summer!
Instead of switching to different channels in TV the whole day & surfing the net the whole night and morning (I do that too) when you can't think of anything else to do and you have no decisions and plans to go away with, try doing simple yet fun things and activities like this. Not too late for the summer break!
